It's a gorgeous So Cal kind of day

Today is a Monday. Today I'm working my full-time job and letting my ideas for this site evolve.  Today, I'm hanging with my two year old,  and it's almost his nap time.

I want to offer some value or there's no point.

Everyday, I want to bring you value, and I think I'm capable of that. Today, I want to share with you a great offer from Oprah and Deepak Chopra to join them for a 21-day meditation series on "Finding your Flow". Click here to register and read more about it: https://chopracentermeditation.com.

I know about this meditation series because I've participated in past 21-day meditation challenges offered by Oprah and Deepak Chopra. I can't recommend their 21-day series enough, the daily reminder and guidance puts you on a path to making meditation a habit. I still need to make it a habit and I should be making it a priority. The health benefits are numerous.

Glazed heart

Pretty Glazed Heart.
Spring day.
You were in Kindergarten,
my youngest then,
my boy,
my C-Buds.
I volunteered
with a friend
to help all the kids
make clay
Mother's Day
hearts.
I remember
laughing
and loving
being there.

You are in
Fourth grade
now.
Mother's Day
is just a couple
months away.
You glazed
and marked
that clay
heart
four years ago
already.

And now you're my
middle child.
Still my boy. Still my C-Buds.
But closer to a young man
than you were
back
then.

My "Little" Project

My "Little" project

I'm going to examine all the objects in my life for their meaning and necessity. Because our lives are way too cluttered. Along the way, we'll examine the meaning of stuff in our lives. Join me in this journey- never-ending journey - through my treasures and junk.

Find the purpose of Feng Shui, move towards a simpler, more zen-like environment. Surround yourself with truly meaningful, truly beautiful objects and let go of the rest. Examine through the poetry of your mind, let it spill out. Clear a space and then make it meditation perfect.

These are a few of my "Little" project. Come take these little baby steps with me.

Here to be me and share the reality of my beautifully chaotic life

I love my life. But my life is chaotic, busy, and often exhausting. It's not glamorous, but it's just right for my family of five. I work from home full-time and also watch my 2 year old. Most days, I drive my kids to and from school, except every other Friday - which my husband has off from work.

I work some late nights and early mornings, my husband leaves super early for work. We're crawling out of a financial hole, but definitely crawling.

I am creating this space for me to rant and rave and keep myself from imploding and maybe even help to limit my yelling just a bit. We'll see how it evolves.
----------evolution-------
I want this to be a space about how happiness can only ever be now, that while we have to work on ourselves every day, we also have to be happy with ourselves every day. We can only ever start right where we are at.

I'm starting this blog right where I am at. I don't have a ton of direction, but I have a fire in my soul and a drive to do this...this is what I am meant to do. Write from the center of my soul.

Two quotes have really stood out for me lately:
"Life is not about finding yourself; it's about CREATING yourself."
"Start where you're at."

After feeling lost and like I had to find myself for the last, oh, I don't know, 7 or 8 years (OMG - that's a long time to be lost), I finally get that I have to decide who I want to be and then get after it. And I want to be free to write from the center of my soul.

Oh, yes, one more quote I saw recently struck a chord:
"Make art of what you do."

My writing shall be my magic paintings, the thoughts from the center of my soul my paint brush. And I will strive to have it be worth something - be helpful, be USEFUL- to somebody else.
